How It Works
Getting Started
Customers can book their boat rental by clicking BOOK NOW and selecting their preferred duration, date and time. They will need to specify the total number of passengers, including adults and children, to ensure an adequate supply of life jackets is available on board. Additionally, there is an option to rent a tube, fishing poles, and a cooler. Descriptions of the add ons are under “The Boat” tab on the menu. Once the booking process is complete the customer will be emailed the rental agreement to sign as well as the E-Waivers. Additionally all additional guests must each complete the “Waiver and Release of Liability Agreement” as well as the “Participant Check Out Form” that will be emailed to each passenger over 18 years of age. Renter is also required to provide their driver's license at time of booking. If the renter was born after January 1st 1988, they must provide proof of boaters license by email to LazyLousLLC@gmail.com.
Custom Booking Option
Along with the 4 Hour, 6 Hour, and 8 Hour Pontoon Rental Option there is a Custom Booking Option. The custom booking is available for customers who would like to do some early morning fishing, a date night dinner to one of the fish camps or to enjoy holiday firework shows. All custom bookings are upon approval from management. The process will be to book the desired day and time slot and pay the $200 refundable deposit. Then you will receive an email direct from management to discuss the details of your request. Once approved the renter will receive an invoice for the total amount of hours requested at a rate of $100 per hour. Once the invoice is paid the required documents to electronically sign ie; rental agreement, rules and operations and waiver will be sent. The initial 200 deposit would be refunded after the return inspection is done by the Lazy Lou management. If boat is returned after 5pm the gas pump at the dock will be closed and will be filled up by Lazy Lou’s management and will be deducted from the deposit. A receipt of the gas fill up will be emailed to the customer. The latest the boat is able to be returned is 10:00 pm on the day of booking so make sure your selected starting time and your duration will comply with the 10:00 pm drop off time. The minimum booking for a Custom Booking is 3 hours.
Post Booking Instructions
On the morning of the reservation, customers will meet with a Lazy Lous Team Member at the dock 30 minutes prior to their booked time. You will be given a brief run down of the boat as well as assistance getting off the dock. The boat's gas tank will be full upon pick-up, and customers are responsible for ensuring it remains full upon return, there is a gas service station in the marina. To start the boat, they should activate the battery and lower the motor into the water. After detaching the dock lines, they can venture out onto the water, staying within the designated area marked on the provided map, found here. This map also features nearby restaurants and popular spots for anchoring and swimming.
Returning The Boat
When returning the boat, customers can choose to dock it themselves in the wet slip. If they are not comfortable doing so, they can dock at the end of the main dock and text our number, 904-894-0867, for assistance. If the boat is returned after 5pm and the gas pump is closed management will fill the tank and deduct the amount from the deposit. A receipt will be emailed to the renter. If docking themselves, they will need to reattach the dock lines to the boat. After turning off the boat, they should raise the motor, place the key back in the lockbox, and deactivate the battery.
